MS Positive launches with free Pilates and Thai Chi classes intended for those with multiple sclerosis, their friends and families. The class, at the Tang Long Chinese Culture Centre on St Alban’s Lane, opposite Golders Green tube, is entirely free and open to anyone affected by MS.
To be held from 10am-12noon on Sunday 19th November, to coincide with Mitzvah Day – the Jewish social action day – the event is intended as a taster of the type of services that MS Positive intends to offer when it formally launches next year.
MS Positive is the brainchild of Toni Krok, a mum from Golders Green, north London who was diagnosed with MS ten years ago and last month raised £80,000 for her new charity by conquering Mount Etna – Europe’s highest active volcano. Toni says:
“Personally speaking, I have found exercise in general and pilates in particular helpful in managing my MS and living positively, whatever each day brings. Thai Chi also has proven benefits. I want to share my experience with others who are in a similar position. If you live in or around North London area and are affected by MS, please do join us to help get us off to a flying start.”
