If we are going to provide exercise lessons, wellness advice, a hotline and more we are going to need some money.
So I came up with the idea of walking the Great Wall of China. Seemed like a good idea at the time – certainly the sort of positive challenge I want for MS Positive. Unfortunately, once we started looking at the practicalities it began to look a bit unrealistic. It would have meant a minimum of ten days away from our families and that’s not only tough, it’s also probably the wrong message for a charity that is determined to be family friendly!
So we thought we’d better stay closer to home. And then someone suggested swapping a wall for an volcano. So that’s what we’re doing: 30 of us will be climbing Mount Etna in October, Europe’s highest active volcano. It’s a five-day climb over 47kms with 3,100 metres of ascent. I think I’m a little mad.
We’ve set ourselves a target of raising £30,000 – that’s a £1,000 each. So I need your help. Please sponsor me if you can. click here.
It’s what being the MS charity with the Can-Do attitude is all about.
